Dancin' Dancin'!
After our big visit to the dentist today, we took the boys to the park to reward their wonderful behavior. The following is a little video from the park. They boys love this machine. Most of the time, they are pushing the buttons as they light up. However, this feature is just music for them to dance and dance they did.... well, at least Jared and Andrew were dancing.
Shake your booty boys....
I sure do love these boys!

Our Birthday Dome Climber!

Daddy started putting together the dome climber one evening.
The boys were watching Daddy and continued chanting "Build it Daddy!" In this picture, you can see that Andrew (far right) was jumping up and down; caught in this picture in the air.
After evening #1, Daddy had the bottom level put together. The dome is starting to take shape!
On Day 2, Daddy enlisted the help of three little helpers to complete the dome. While they may have not been very helpful, Daddy was able to get the entire dome put together, except 8 missing nuts. At the end of the evening, Daddy had to run to the hardware store to get the missing nuts and the boys had to wait one more day before enjoying their present.
The were able to get up to the first level and then did not have the courage to climb much further.
All day, the boys were calling themselves 'Super Strong Andrew,' 'Super Strong Jared,' and 'Super Strong Wessie' as they were climbing. They were very proud of their ability to climb...
Since they only had the initial courage to climb one level, they challenged themselves by walking around the full circle on that first level....
Happy Birthday Boys!
Making their way around the circle...
After dinner, the boys again went outside to play and on this trip, they had a lot more courage. Wes was the first to climb all the way to the top. Andrew was quick to follow...
They also discovered the joy of climbing on the inside as seen with Andrew in this picture. Here is Andrew's concerned face...
Same position with Andrew's surprised face...
And now we have Andrew's cheese face...
Jared was most comfortable climbing around the lower level...
Once Wes got all the way to the top, he preferred to get down by pushing his body up on the bar...
And then dropping down...
Yep, my heart skipped a beat with the first few drops but then he consistently did this without any issues. He was so proud climbing all the way to the top...
Wes reaching the peak (5.5 feet high). The dome climber is also 12 feet in diameter.
The boys enjoyed their first day with their new dome climber. I hope they continue to have fun with this for many years to come. They enjoy playing outside so much and we want to do everything possible to continue to encourage it!
Happy 3rd Birthday Andrew, Jared and Wes!

Happy Easter 2011!
We had a wonderful day with the boys today! We took the boys to see the movie Hop in preparation for our visit with the Easter Bunny. After the movie, we headed over to see the 'real' Easter Bunny. The boys were so excited and had already decided where they were going to sit well before we arrived at the bunny. Andrew was going to be on his lap, Wesley was going to sit on the side and Jared was going to sit on the 'other side' (just like last year). As we arrived at the bunny, they were excited in line and then it was our turn. Andrew rushed over to the Easter Bunny, gave him a high five and willingly sat on his lap. Jared and Wes were no longer excited about seeing the Easter Bunny. We were lucky that there was no line behind us because it took the boys about 5-10 minutes to warm up to the Bunny. After some negotiations which resulted in Jared being promised that he could play with 'Mommy's phone' and Wes being promised cake (I don't know where I got that idea but it worked), they were willing to sit with the Bunny... and, we got a great photo! Andrew was so patient and he sat for the entire duration of the negotiations on the lap of the Easter Bunny. Then, he ends up having his tongue sticking out in the best photo, go figure.
After the Easter Bunny, we took the boys out to lunch at the Village Inn. After lunch, they were able to have some pie, which was Wes' cake reward. Once we returned home, it was too late for nap. We skipped nap and relaxed watching some TV. This lasted a short time before the boys could no longer resist the temptation of the backyard and the kiddie pool still filled with water from yesterday. So, with very little rest, we headed outside to splash about in the pool. The boys had a great day but were very tired by the end of the day. Andrew didn't eat his dinner and half way through dinner, he asked to go to bed. Daddy took him to bed and he stayed. The other guys watched some of Cars, the movie and then headed off to bed. It was a long day but a fun day!
We are looking forward to our 3rd birthday on Tuesday and our party on Saturday.
Take care,
