Tonight, Mike and I were both home together with the boys for a little while before bed (this is pretty rare these days). I was sitting on the couch and Wesley was standing and holding onto my leg. Mike was hanging out on the ottoman which is across the room. Mike had the boys' new favorite toy, a plastic coaster, and Wesley made a move to go to Mike. It was in slow motion and both of us were looking at him. He turned and let go of my leg and then IT happened, he lifted a foot, move it an inch, put it down and then fell into a crawl.
We both looked at each other and said, "was that it" and "was that our first step." We then proceeded to dissect the actions like commentators on a Sunday afternoon. Did he catch the ball and make and actual "football move?" Did he move his foot far enough to be considered a step? Did he officially get the foot down before he fell into the crawl? Where is the instant replay?????
At the end of our discussion, we decided to agree that we both were together and officially witnessed our FIRST STEP!!!
